Business Litigation

The handling of trials and trial related matters is an important part of our practice. A basic tenet of our trial practice is that well prepared and skilled trial lawyers can and should handle a wide variety of cases. Our docket contains many cases in which we are representing corporate clients and others in business and contract cases.

Major matters we have recently concluded or are currently handling include:

  • Landlord/tenant liability issues;

  • Title insurer defense;

  • Creditor rights enforcement in complex matters.

  • All aspects of business, employment and bankruptcy-related litigation in state and federal court and arbitrations, including actions for breach of contract, escrow broker liability, unfair competition, interference with contract, partnership dissolution, shareholder derivative claims, and business accountings.

  • Banking related litigation including foreclosures, breach of guaranty and other suretyship obligations, appointment of receivers, letter of credit disputes, and promissory note enforcement.

  • Mechanics' lien claims.

  • General litigation matters including probate administration malfeasance, sale or lease of goods and services, unlawful detainer and real property evictions, trade secret, trademark and trade name infringements, insurance bad faith and denial of policy benefits.
