Irving Silver heads the estate planning practice of Silver, Voit & Thompson, Attorneys at Law, P.C. in Mobile, Alabama. Irving has extensive experience in matters related to asset and wealth management for individuals and institutions, with a major emphasis on charitable and estate planning techniques. He advises clients on a broad spectrum of business, real estate and estate planning issues. Raised in Holyoke, Massachusetts and veteran of the United States Air Force, Irving graduated from the University of Alabama School of Commerce and Business Administration and in 1965 from the University of Alabama School of Law. He and his wife Frances are the parents of two children, and the grandparents of four grandchildren. A past president of the Estate Planning Council of Mobile, Irving holds the designation of Accredited Estate Planner by the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils. Currently he is a Trustee of Spring Hill College in Mobile and of The Alabama Law Foundation and serves on the Campaign Leadership Team and Planned Giving Council of the University of South Alabama. Irving is a member of the Board of the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs. He is the former Chair or President of: the B'nai B'rith International's Center for Public Policy, B'nai B'rith District Seven, Jewish Foundation of Mobile, Jewish Family Services of Mobile and the Community Foundation of South Alabama. He also served as a Director of the South Alabama Medical Science Foundation, which is connected with the USA College of Medicine.
